ABOUT DR. MUNRO
Dr. Monica Munro
DDS, Dip Paed, FRCD(C)
Paediatric Dentist
Dr. Munro obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University after which she immediately began her paediatric dental residency at Harvard University where she practiced for two years at the Boston Children’s Hospital.
Following the completion of her specialty program, she became a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as a Paediatric Dental Specialist. Dr. Munro is currently the only paediatric dental specialist outside of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
During her program at Harvard University, Dr. Munro received advanced specialty training in dental care of infants, toddlers, children and adolescents, in addition to medically complex patients and those with special health care needs.

Dr. Munro is excited to be back in her hometown of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia and is committed to providing caring, compassionate and expertise paediatric dental care.
OUR CLINIC
After completing a specialty degree at the number one children’s hospital in America, Dr. Munro recognizes the need for a compassionate, welcoming, fun, and friendly environment for all paediatric dental patients. Upon returning to Nova Scotia, she decided to create this type of environment by completely renovating a building to better suit the needs and comfort of her patients. Child Smiles Paediatric Dentistry is a certified accessible practice with a compassionate, welcoming, fun, and friendly atmosphere for all.
